Trillian Trillian, our main lead camel was caught wild in the northern Simpson Desert by Marcus Williams in 1993. The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy character inspired her name. She has had numerous calves including Dock. She’s best known for her beautiful photographic profile and incredibly droopy lip. She’s a fabulous all rounder. She’s featured on many films and, along with Anna, gives short rides at conventions and events.

Anna Anna is named after Marcus’ friend ‘no tooth’ Anna. She is 25 years old and is reliable, steady and strong. Anna is our preferred camel for young riders. Marcus caught her wild in the northern Simpson Desert in 1993 and very soon after she gave birth to Odin. Her film credits include The Alice, Troy Dan’s Big Adventures, Pic Magazine, and a Korean TV series. |

Ruby Ruby’s name comes from the Ruby Dock plant that camels like to eat. She is a Pyndan Camel Tracks calf, born to Morgana (RIP 2010) in 2000 in Alice Springs. A stunning looking camel with dark brown silky hair, Ruby is cheeky and bossy. She loves people and is very interactive and nosey. She is the princess of the herd. |

Cleo Cleopatra is a great beauty and holidaying at Pyndan Camel Tracks. Born in about 2008, Cleo was caught wild north of Alice Springs and destined for the abattoir. Yet it was her exquisiteness that saved her life. Her huge brown eyes shaded by incredibly elongated eyelashes and her little chocolate ears covered in waves of curls are reminiscent of the two-humped Bactrian camels of the rocky deserts of Central and East Asia. Cleo has gone out bush with the Outback Camel Company to learn the ropes. We hope she comes back soon!

BJ, the magnificant BJ is huge. He is our tallest camel. He stands two metres at the shoulder and is approximately 35 years old. BJ is wise, reliable and calm like a gentle giant. He has a soft silky mane and a long grey beard. When BJ stands up riders are surprised how far off the ground they are. However, his sure footedness and relaxed nature makes him a perfect riding camel for families. He was caught wild in the southern Simpson Desert in 1994 and joined the Pyndan Camel Tracks team in 2004.

Greyhound Greyhound has light coloured locks and looks like a big teddy bear. His appearance in colour and texture differs significantly from our other camels. He is our biggest smoocher. For anyone who wants to kiss a camel, Greyhound is your man! He’s an ex-racer, hence the name, and won many trophies. He joined our team in 2002 and is aged around 21.

Saleh Saleh is the fairest member of the Pyndan Camel Tracks team with his off white head and light tan body. He joined our team in 2009 and was incredibly shy at first. Now he likes to follow the cameleers around in the yards like a faithful hound.

Odin Named after the Scandinavian god who traded one eye for infinite wisdom, our Odin is a bit wonky looking. Born premature in 1993, his legs never grew to match the bulk of his body and boof head. He’s knock-kneed, a bit dopey and slightly blind in one eye. However, he’s extremely loveable, a great worker and a dependable anchor at the end of the string.

Pixie Pixie is calm and gentle. She is a gorgeous brunette with honey patches. She has curls along her mane in winter. She joined our team in 2008.

Good Boy Our Good Boy is still in training and arrived in 2009. Lama-esque with his narrow face and small mouth, Good Boy still thinks he’s a bit of a bull rather than a bullock. He likes to saunter around the yards and bellow at Cleo if she tries to play with him. Soon we hope that he settles down and becomes one of the strong men of our camel team.
